Frequently Asked Questions

Is Track X a racing school?

No, Track X is NOT a racing school. We are a motorsports experience company aimed to guide you as you dip your toes into the world of performance driving.

Do you know how SCUBA schools offer intro dives for beginners who aspire to become licensed SCUBA divers in the future? Well, we’re the shop next door that takes you snorkeling!

Do I need a valid driver’s license to participate in a Track X trackday?

No. The race track is not a public road and is not covered by any road laws. A valid driver’s license is not required. You do, however, need to know how to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.

Do I need to know how to drive a manual (stick shift) transmission?

No! If you don't know how to drive a manual transmission, you can choose the ARRIVE & DRIVE Program and drive our Automatic VW Polo track car.

Or you can avail of the BASIC program and drive your own vehicle on the track, even if it is an automatic! This is actually the most rewarding (not to mention most affordable) experience you can get from Track X!

What types of vehicles would you recommend for use in the BASIC program?

Any sedan, hatchback, coupe, or similar type of vehicle would be ideal. We would not recommend using tall vans, crossovers, pickup trucks, or SUV’s.

I only have a stock vehicle. Can I use this in the BASIC program?

Yes! Even stock vehicles are capable of going around a race track safely. Just check if your seatbelts, tires, and brakes are in good condition and that no fluids are leaking anywhere on the car. We recommend having a professional check the vehicle for you if you are not confident in your own knowledge.

Do I need to bring my own safety equipment?

We have helmets available for you to use and we give out balaclavas for you to keep. These are already included in the cost of each package. If you do have your own safety equipment that's suitable for use in a motor vehicle, then you are more than welcome to use them!

How much time does a trackday take?

Both BASIC and ARRIVE & DRIVE are whole-day programs. We begin at 7:00 am with a track walk followed by a quick ride-along with your instructor. You will start driving 4-5 lap stints at around 9:00am, with breaks in between to rest, discuss, and refresh. You will be doing a total of around 20-30 laps throughout the day, depending on track conditions. We end the day around 5:00pm to head out for a yummy post-trackday snack.

How far away is the track?

Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas is an easy two-hour drive away from Manila, specially if you leave early enough to beat the traffic.

What sort of liabilities are in place in the case of an on-track accident?

Track X prides itself in following strict procedures and setting strict guidelines to ensure the safety of the guests, instructors, and vehicles out on the track. However, motorsports is still an activity that naturally carries certain risks. In the unlikely event of an on-track accident, all liabilities are covered in the Participation Waiver and the Track Car Rental Waiver. Apart from on-track accidents, these waivers also cover wear and tear items, mechanical problems, and behavior-related issues. Kindly click on the links to learn more.

Looking to go even faster?

Track X is NOT a racing school. We do not offer performance coaching or advanced lessons. What we offer is a motorsports experience for people who simply want a taste. As such, our programs are meant strictly for beginners.

If you have any amount of previous motorsports experience, Track X may not be for you. If you're looking to improve your lap times, below are some of our friends who offer advanced performance driving lessons. Some of our previous Track X guests have since gone on to enroll with these guys and we're blown away by the results. Check them out! They're pretty good at what they do!
